Biography
Brian Southwood is a British actor known for his acting work in television, film, and theatre, often appearing in supporting roles. He is perhaps best known for playing many characters in TV series Coronation Street (1960), such as Dr. McLaren, a Registrar and a Judge in the series. He was also known for voicing the characters of Otter and Portley in Cosgrove Hall's The Wind in the Willows (1984-1990). He played Jim Threadgold in three episodes of the TV series Get Lost! (1981) and he also voiced Gurder of the Stationeri in ten episodes of the British stop motion series Truckers (1992). He also had several guest appearances in many other TV shows including Crown Court (1972-2007), Brookside (1982-2003), Emmerdale (1972) and The Forsyte Saga (2002-2003).
